1. Sow Indoors: Start seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before the last frost. Sprinkle seeds on the surface of moist seed-starting mix and press them in lightly; do not cover, as they need light to germinate.
2. Germination: Keep the soil moist and at 65–75°F. Germination takes about 7–14 days.
3. Light: Verbena thrives in full sun for at least 6 hours a day.
4. Watering: Water regularly but avoid waterlogging. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings.
5. Transplanting: After the last frost, transplant seedlings outdoors, spacing plants about 10–12 inches apart.
