Sweet corn needs full sun and consistently moist soil, especially during germination and when the kernels develop. Water regularly to keep the soil moist, but avoid waterlogging. Fertilize with compost or a balanced fertilizer to support healthy growth. Thin seedlings to 10-12 inches apart once they have a few leaves. Corn is wind-pollinated, so it's best to plant in blocks rather than single rows for better pollination.
