1. Sow Indoors: Start seeds indoors about 8–10 weeks before the last frost. Use a well-draining seed-starting mix and sow the seeds about 1/4 inch deep. Keep the soil moist, but not waterlogged.

2. Germination: Keep the soil at 75–85°F (24–29°C). Germination usually takes 7–14 days.

3. Transplant: Once the seedlings have at least two sets of leaves and all danger of frost has passed, harden them off and transplant them outdoors. Space plants about 18–24 inches apart in rows that are 24–36 inches apart.

4. Sunlight and Care: Chili peppers need full sun and well-drained, fertile soil. Water regularly, but avoid letting the plants sit in water. Consider using a mulch to keep the soil moist and reduce weeds.

5. Fertilization: Peppers benefit from regular feeding with a balanced fertilizer. Once the plant starts flowering, you can switch to a phosphorus-heavy fertilizer to encourage fruiting.

Bishop’s Crown is a unique chili pepper variety known for its distinctive shape, which resembles a bishop’s miter (hat). The peppers have a sweet, fruity flavor with mild heat, making them perfect for salsas or dried for use in various dishes.
