Sow Indoors: Start seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before the last frost. Use a light, well-draining seed-starting mix and scatter the seeds on the surface of the soil. Press them lightly, but don't cover them, as they need light to germinate.
Germination: Keep the soil moist and maintain a temperature of 65–70°F (18–21°C). Germination typically takes 14–21 days.
Transplant: Once the seedlings are large enough to handle and the risk of frost has passed, harden them off and transplant them outdoors. Space them about 10–12 inches apart.
Sunlight and Care: Carnations prefer full sun and well-drained soil. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage more blooms and provide support for taller plants.
Carnation mixed seeds offer a wide range of vibrant, fragrant flowers in different colors and patterns, making them ideal for borders, beds, or cutting gardens.
