Sow Outdoors: Directly sow seeds outdoors after the last frost in a sunny location with well-drained soil. Scatter the seeds over the soil surface and lightly press them in, but don’t cover them deeply as they need light to germinate.
Germination: Keep the soil lightly moist. Germination usually takes 10–20 days. California poppies are relatively low-maintenance, but they do best in dry, well-drained conditions.
Thinning: Once seedlings are a few inches tall, thin them to about 6–8 inches apart to give them room to grow.
Sunlight and Care: California poppies thrive in full sun and require minimal watering once established. Water them lightly during dry spells, but avoid waterlogging.
Thai Silk Rose Chiffon is a stunning variety known for its delicate, pastel pink and soft rose-colored petals. They make beautiful additions to wildflower meadows, flower beds, and containers.
