Sow Indoors: Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost in a well-draining seed-starting mix. Lightly press the seeds into the soil and cover them with a thin layer of soil.
Germination: Keep the soil moist and maintain a temperature of 65–70°F (18–21°C). Germination usually takes 7–10 days.
Transplant: Once seedlings have several sets of leaves and all danger of frost has passed, harden them off and transplant them outdoors, spacing them 10–12 inches apart.
Sunlight and Care: Marigolds thrive in full sun and prefer moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Water regularly, but avoid waterlogging. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming.
Bolero Marigolds are known for their vibrant orange and yellow flowers and make great additions to flower beds, borders, or containers. They also help repel pests in vegetable gardens.
