Sow Indoors: Start seeds 8–10 weeks before the last frost in a seed-starting mix. Sprinkle the seeds on the surface and lightly press them in. Do not cover the seeds, as they need light to germinate.
Germination: Keep the soil moist and maintain a temperature of 65–70°F (18–21°C). Germination usually takes about 14–21 days.
Transplant: Once seedlings have a few sets of leaves and the outdoor temperatures are consistently above frost, harden off the plants and transplant them to your garden, spacing 12–18 inches apart.
Sunlight and Care: Plant in full sun with well-drained, dry soil. Water sparingly once established, as this mint variety prefers a dry-to-moderate moisture level.
Balkan Mint is a fragrant, aromatic herb that thrives in rock gardens, containers, or along pathways. Its leaves can be used in teas or culinary dishes.
